Megan + Michael

Megan has to be one of our smile-iest brides ever and on her wedding day to Michael she didn't stop beaming the whole day. Their wedding was held at Woodcreek Church in Richardson, which is a huuuuuge building. We might have gotten lost in the hallways a couple times but once we familiarized ourselves with the layout we enjoyed snapping photos of Megan getting ready, Michael and the guys playing dominos, a very sweet "first glance", and a lovely and touching ceremony. We didn't have far to go for the reception, just outside the sanctuary doors in fact! The celebrating couldn't last too long though as Megan & Michael were whisked away to catch a plane for their honeymoon. We hope you guys had a great trip and enjoy reliving your special day through the photos!

Brittany's Trash the Dress Session

We've been wanting to do a trash the dress session with Brittany ever since her wedding and we finally got our schedules to align just a little over a year after Brittany got married. Unfortunately it was an uber hot June day and we were worried Brittany would melt in her gorgeous but very fluffy wedding dress. Luckily the AC in our mobile studio aka the van was working great so we were able to cool off in between shots. And we got to hand it to Brittany, she was a real trooper. She did a FANTASTIC job braving the heat, watching out for poison ivy very helpfully pointed out to us by a concerned neighbor, tramping through tall grass, climbing a tree, and finally jumping in the pool! That was the perfect end to our session and we think the photos turned out awesome!

On a side note, we're looking for a name for these types of sessions other than Trash the Dress. Mostly because we don't really aim to trash the dress (Brittany's dress was just fine even after the swim) and the term trash sounds a little harsh and scary. So something more along the lines of After-Your-Wedding-So-We-Can-
Be-A-Little-More-Adventurous-And-Fun Session only shorter. Any suggestions?

Katie + Jordan

We've had a lot of fun working with Katie and Jordan and their wedding earlier this June was no exception! They wanted a casual, fun party with their close family and friends, all 400 of them! The evening started up at Katie's family church, First Baptist in Arlington, with a lovely ceremony made memorable by Katie and Jordan both flubbing their vows a little bit. Guess it's hard to pay attention when you're about to say I do! Then everyone headed off to the reception at Katie's parents' home. Luckily they have a huge backyard to hold all those guests and really made it a special occasion with a huge tent filled with paper lanterns, a refreshing Dublin Dr. Pepper stand, and an awesome band who happen to be family friends. It was a hot evening but that didn't seem to bother anyone, they just kept dancing the night away!
