2009 Couples' Favorites

A few years back we began a tradition that is our favorite blog post of the year! Instead of posting our personal favorite photos from the year we have asked our wedding couples to let us know their top five favorite photos and to let us know why they are their favorites and the story behind them. It's so nice to hear the stories behind the photos and to know why they're so special to our couples.

Christina & Andrew's Happy New Year Wedding!

We didn't have to wait very long to get to our first wedding of 2010! Christina and Andy had their wedding on New Year's Day at the Piazza in the Village. (Side note, we've been to lots of venues for weddings and I have to say the Piazza did a great job setting up the bride's dressing room!) Luckily for all the New Year's Eve partiers it was an evening wedding which started off with a first glance for Christina and Andy. We then wandered around the Piazza to get some shots of just the two of them. The ceremony was lovely and then Christina and Andy got the reception started with their first dance. It was a great way to start the New Year, for us and especially for them as a newlywed couple! Congratulations Christina and Andrew!

Bowling with Stefanie, Noah & Brooke!

Stefanie and Noah took a chance on doing their engagement session outside in late December for a very good reason: Noah is in the Navy and doesn't get another leave until their wedding in November! Luckily for all of us it wasn't too horribly cold and we got to do some shots indoors at Alley Cats bowling alley, their usual family fun hangout when Noah is in town. We even managed to snag the lane Stefanie & Noah had the first time they went there! Stefanie's daughter Brooklyn joined us for the shoot and we had fun bowling, driving around Fort Worth looking for interesting buildings, and recreating an iconic photograph.

We look forward to seeing you again in November for the wedding! We know it's going to be a fun one because it already has two of our favorite vendors: Cheryl Allgood as their planner, and The Old Red Courthouse as the venue. Awesome!
