Colbie & Jake + Their Two Pups!

It was so nice to see Colbie and Jake again last weekend when we all met up for a portrait session in downtown Dallas. (We photographed Colbie and Jake's wedding last October.) They've just moved back to Dallas after living in Austin for a year so it was nice to be able to capture a little bit of their new hometown. And they brought along their 2 dogs Ernie and Everett to complete the family photo!

We had a great time catching up and checking out the brand new opera house. We hope you like the photos!

While Ernest and Everett were very well-behaved, it was sometimes a challenge to get them focused and all smiles for the camera. As you can see in this photo Everett got a little distracted :)

They were so tuckered out by the end of the shoot!

Tristen & Neil's Wedding

Laura and....Laura, our second shooter :), headed to downtown Mckinney to photograph Tristen and Neil's wedding. Their ceremony was held in the beautiful red brick church, First United Methodist Church. After the ceremony we got some alone time with the newly wed couple to get a few shots of them inside and out of the church. I love the antique feel of down town and were glad we were able to get some time with just of two of them in the setting. The reception started out with lots of energy when the wedding party each had their own little dance move upon entering the room. Along with all of the dancing which is always fun, they had a photo booth which is a personal favorite of mine. Tristen and Neil recently got back from their honeymoon in Costa Rica and hope they had an amazing time!

Reception: Stonebridge Ranch Country Club; Flowers: Edwards Floral; Cake: The Cakery; DJ: Jonathan Almond; Photobooth: Little Black Booth

Sarah & Robert's Wedding - It's a "Keeper"

Our busy wedding month continues with Sarah & Robert's wedding in Dallas last weekend! Raelyn and our second shooter Dat were on the scene to capture this fun day, which started off with everyone getting ready at the hotel where Sarah showed off her "I'm a Keeper" t-shirt. (Robert's last name and Sarah's new last name is Keepers. I love it when couples do fun things with their last name! Anyone remember "Hale Yes!" or "It's a nice day for a White wedding"?) The fun continued with a lovely ceremony and rockin' reception featuring the Icehouse band. Probably the most memorable event of the evening was the soul train which was kicked off with Robert doing the worm! And I've never seen people get so into the soul train, so well done! We really did have a blast and so did all of the guests. Congratulations Sarah & Robert!
