When Carol called us to see if we were available for her wedding day we were so excited that we were for a couple reasons. First we photographed her sister Natalie's wedding 2 years ago and had a blast working with her family. And second, they were having their wedding at a chocolate factory! Count us in! The wedding was held on a stormy day in the tiny, blink and you'll miss it town of Calvert, TX. Carol and Micah choose this small town for one really great reason, their favorite restaurant Cocoamoda, where they wanted to have their reception. And they made a fantastic choice because the food (and the chocolates!) were really good! Some other highlights from the day included colorful bow ties and socks for the guys, seriously adorable coloring books telling the story of how Carol and Micah met for the kids, Micah checking out youtube for instructions on how to tie his bow tie, Carol accidentally stepping out of her hiding spot a little too early before walking down the aisle, Micah trying out his wedding present from Carol - an A&M travel blanket, and Carol's family's swing dance showcase they took secret lessons for. We could go on and on! It was a great day for a great couple, and we enjoyed being a part of it!
And if you ever happen to drive through Calvert TX (on the way to College Station) you have to stop by Zamykal Kolaches - best kolaches ever!

Just a little throwback from Natalie and Jason's wedding - Carol and Micah have been rocking their signature dip for a long time!
