Lori's Bridals

Lori really wanted to get a "sneak peek" of her bridal photos so she told us it would be OK to post them on our blog before the wedding day. So Patrick, if you're reading this right now - NO PEEKING! You have to wait for the wedding day. :)

We met up with Lori for her bridal photos at the Old Red Museum where she and Patrick are getting married next month. First off, yay for indoor locations! Second, we were excited to shoot at Old Red because the building has fantastic architectural touches, great big windows for lots of natural light, beautiful iron work staircases, and did we mention it was indoors? It was also fun to shoot in a courtroom as Patrick is a lawyer. We might even photoshop his photo onto the painting in the photo with Lori sitting on the judges bench. Ha!

Erika Bryton

We absolutely love it when our past brides keep in touch and send us baby photos. We love it even more when we get to take those photos! So we were thrilled when Adriana asked us to photograph her daughter Erika Bryton who is 18 months old and a super cutie. We met up with them at the Las Colinas canals where we photographed Adriana & Eric's engagement session. Adriana came prepared with cute outfits and bows and Erika Bryton made herself right at home with her stuffed puppy. She made our job so easy with her bright smile, and entertained us by showing us how a pig sounds (snort snort snort) and how a mommy sounds (no no no!) We had a great time with Erika Bryton and we hope Adriana & Eric love the photos of their adorable little girl!

Here's a shot from Adriana & Eric's engagement session at the Canals back in 2008!

Movie Night with Lauryn & Jason!

When we asked Lauryn and Jason what they would like to do for their engagement session they mentioned that they had met in high school while performing/directing a musical and enjoyed going to the movie together, so it was perfect for them to do their shoot at the Magnolia theater in Dallas. Plus it's always nice to shoot inside during the Texas summer! We rounded out the session with a trip to Lakeside Park in Turtle Creek, and a visit to Fountain Plaza where unfortunately the fountains were turned off. It was still beautiful though, and we enjoyed Lauryn and Jason's outfit change of shirts representing their colleges, Texas Tech for Lauryn and Texas A & M for Jason. Their schools might be rivals, but Lauryn and Jason are willing to look past that, even on game day. Now that's true love!

Callie + Chris

After over a week of torrential rain we were hoping that the weather gods would smile down on Callie & Chris for their wedding last week in Grapevine. The weather tried its best, only a slight sprinkle as Callie made her way to the Round Grove Chapel for a first glance with Chris, but about half way through their ceremony, (which luckily was indoors!) the skies opened up and it start pouring! Not a problem though, as everyone thought to bring their umbrellas and the reception site, the Lone Star Lady boat on Lake Grapevine, was covered. So Callie, Chris and their friends and family partied the night away, and the rain was nice enough to stop just enough for everyone to enjoy a fireworks show!

Congratulations Callie & Chris! If rain on your wedding day is good luck then you'll have plenty of luck to last you both for a long time!

Jacob's First Birthday!

We photographed Heather & Robert's wedding 2 years ago and were delighted when they asked us to photograph their son Jacob's 1st birthday party. And what a great party! There was swimming, bubble wands, face painting, clowns, balloon animals and a magic show! Jacob was mostly interested in showing off his walking skills though, pretty impressive for a one year old! Everyone had a great time, and we're sure Jacob slept really well that night!
