Kristen + Charlie

We had a great time photographing Kristen and Charlie's wedding, it had a little bit of everything we love about weddings! Charlie is the younger brother of the very first bride we photographed together and it was so fun seeing everyone again! They had a very touching ceremony at Kristen's family church in Denton where Kristen's parents were married. The wedding party looked very snazzy in brown suits and green dresses, colors selected to match Kristen's hair. Kristen and Charlie rode in an awesome retro car. The reception was at the Texas Motor Speedway, a place that had special significance for Kristen and Charlie. Not because they're race fans, but while they were dating and Kristen lived in Denton and Charlie lived in Fort Worth the Speedway was their landmark for phone conversations, ie almost there, just passed the Speedway! They had a photo booth, candy station, pop corn machine, fun games, a toast rapped to the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air followed by a Dr. Pepper toast (LOVED that idea), a pileup of single guys going for the garter, and everyone had a blast dancing the night away. Congratulations Kristen and Charlie, we wish you all the best!

The car driver, who is a family friend, played a little joke on Kristen and Charlie. Instead of starting the car he pretended that it was dead, so Kristen and Charlie would have to give the car a jump! Luckily Kristen and Charlie took it all in stride, no bridezilla meltdowns here!

Katie's Bridals

We recently photographed Katie's bridal at the home of a good friend of her parents' and had a great time! We were so grateful to have a place indoors to shoot because it stormed all day long and only quit right before the session started. Gotta love that Texas weather! It was also an interesting shoot for us because Katie is the tallest bride we've ever had. She's 5'10" and we're both 5'4" so when we show her a pose while leaning to put our elbow on a ledge Katie has to lean a lot further so not quite the same pose! We worked it out though and Katie was a great model. Her wedding is coming up soon and we can't wait!

Jennifer & Ben Engaged!

We met up with Jennifer and Ben for their engagement session in downtown Grapevine on an unusually chill day for mid May. Luckily they didn't mind, better weather for cuddling! We had a great time wandering around Main St., checking out the train station and a local winery, and finished up at a small botanic garden. We had to be keep our cameras ready with these two, Jennifer and Ben kept stealing kisses or Ben would pick Jennifer up. Don't you guys know you're supposed to wait until we're ready to take the shot to do cute stuff? :)

Engagement Session with Allison, Aaron & Les Paul

Allison and Aaron met in a band so we knew we would definitely have to incorporate music into their session. We headed over to their apartment in the Dallas Design District where we checked out some of Aaron's guitars including this amazing natural wood finish Les Paul. Allison learned to play a G chord, we had a little pillow fight, saw their great view of downtown from the rooftop, then headed out around the Design District. We had a great afternoon, and if the wedding is half as fun as the engagement session was it's gonna be a good one!
