Marcia & Rick

Marcia and Rick had a lovely, intimate ceremony at the Arboretum with a reception at the Magnolia Hotel and Raelyn was there to capture the action! It was a very small wedding, but Marcia and Rick paid great attention to the details. The flowers were gorgeous, the food had great personality (chicken and waffles, yum!), and a small string trio provided the perfect background. The day turned out perfectly, which was a great relief because it literally was raining right up until about a half hour before the ceremony started! Big thanks to the weather gods, and thanks to Marcia and Rick for letting us be a part of your special day!

Kristin's Bridals

We capped off a very busy weekend by photographing bridals for Kristin in Denton. Kristin is getting married near Houston but decided to get her bridals done here and we were happy she choose us to take them! We met up with her at the Texas Women's University campus which turned out to be a popular place for photos, there were a lot of other people out taking advantage of the good weather. And we couldn't blame them, the campus was beautiful, we especially loved the little chapel with the winding staircase. Next we headed downtown to the courthouse square which has tons of fun shops and lots of personality. We had a great time exploring a little bit of Denton with Kristin and wish her all the best for her upcoming wedding!

Cayley

We were super excited to get to photograph Cayley who is 21 months old! We headed over to her stomping grounds in Plano and spent a wonderful morning with her and her parents Chris and Jen. We decided to approach the session just by following Cayley around doing what she does best, playing! And we've figured out the 4 B's of kid photography - bubbles, balls, balloons and blocks! We also brought along some finger paints but it turned out Cayley doesn't like to get messy, she just looked at the paint on her finger and went "uhoh!" So cute! We thought we were going to wear her out but by the end of the session we were ready for a nap!

Thanks so much for spending the day with us Cayley! We had a great time and we hope you like your photos!

Helmutwalker in paint!

Beth & David sent us this painting her friend did for them. It's of the photo we took during their engagement session and it looks amazing! Their friend's name is Jason Price, kudos Jason!!! (Who knew Beth and David's feet would get so much attention :)

Katie & Jordan Engaged!

Katie and Jordan originally wanted to do their engagement session in downtown Fort Worth, but the Main St Arts Festival happened to be going on the weekend they scheduled their session so we went with plan B - the area around Magnolia St. This worked out fantastically, as we've always loved the older architecture of that area and it turns out that Katie and Jordan do too! So we had a great afternoon wandering around, finding cool buildings and even scavenged a souvenir or two. Jordan found an awesome lantern and Katie picked up a desk drawer to hold her mail!

For the next stop on their session we headed down to the Trinity Duck Pond to set up a special date night for Katie and Jordan. One of their favorite things to do together is try new restaurants and eat outside so we put together a cute little cafe scene. We had wanted to find a chandelier to hang in the tree but got the paper lanterns instead, and wouldn't you know it Katie and Jordan will be having paper lanterns at their reception so that worked out great! We love it when everything just comes together. :)
